Little Bear was stepping off the school bus when a big brown truck appeared in their driveway. Little Bear raced inside to tell him mom because he knew the big, brown trucks brings boxes of goodies that he gets to open. Mrs. Bear went outside with him and met the UPS driver. Mrs. Bear knew her son was anxious to open the boxes. She also knew he had homework, so she explained that once his homework was finished they would open the packages together. Little Bear opened his
for his homework and was through in record time. Mama Bear was impressed after she checked to make sure it was correct! Okay, Mama Bear said, let's get started opening packages. Little Bear said this is just like Christmas. I love opening packages. Little Bear is a curious little fellow and wanted to know what was in the boxes before opening the first one. Mama Bear explained that she had decided to hold a Halloween party at their home rather than taking her son out to trick-or-treat, so they needed decorations. Little Bear was delighted about their plans. The first thing Little Bear opened was a

were suppose to hold candles, but Mama Bear was planning to place candy in them instead. As they finished opening the last box, Little Bear wanted to know who they would invite. Mama Bear thought for a moment and said we will invite all of your little friends and relatives. She said she also wanted to invite his favorite uncles, the Bear Trio because they were loads of fun and very friendly. Mama Bear said they could 
the guests as they arrive just like they do with their job at My Southern Home Place. They welcome every new shopper and returning shoppers too. They just like to have fun and meet new folks! Little Bear thought for a moment then said, Papa Bear can lead every guest 
to the party by candlelight. The plans were in the making. Now Little Bear was ready to play outdoors and pass the news to his friends...
